Senior Media Account Lead


The Senior Media Account Lead is responsible for setting and driving strategy for all account stakeholders. This position serves as the day-to-day point of contact for media related to regional and national accounts (including e-commerce and retail). This senior level position will require a thorough knowledge of integrated media planning, with heavy emphasis on digital strategy. The Senior Media Account Lead oversees the media planning process and is expected to provide high-level strategic recommendations to the entire media team and/or the client. This position must possess the ability to communicate accurately and directly with internal team, clients and partner/client creative agencies. The position reports to the Vice President, Director of Major Accounts.


  • Accountable for mid-size to large accounts & related aspects including client relationship, financials, strategy & planning.
  • Manage the account with a keen focus on business results & facilitate collaboration around KPI setting and analysis; structure plans and collaboration to ensure team is meeting goals
  • Set strategy in conjunction with stakeholders (channel owners)
  • Manage all client touchpoints with the agency
    • Set client meetings – presenting plans, performance reviews, opportunities
    • Push the limits with new ideas that meet objectives
  • Manages heavier workload than non-senior associates
  • Assists with new business research, planning & pitches



  • 7+ years of media planning/buying experience, including at least a 2-year focus of online media
  • Thorough knowledge of the development of media strategy
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills (including presentation skills)
  • Thorough knowledge of media research tools for the development of target audience profiles and behaviors
  • Familiarity to create detailed media briefs and accurately and quickly share client input and feedback on campaigns and campaign performance with the internal team
  • Development of POV’s
  • Strong analytic skills and ability to relate results to client business objectives
  • Knowledge of media tools (ad serving, research) and procedures (both media and inter-department)
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking capabilities especially the skills to work with tight deadlines and on multiple clients and projects
  • The ability to work independently without daily oversight
  • Understands the concepts of reach, frequency, frequency management, ROI and latency
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal team members
  • Bachelor’s Degree
